Accelerate U at NLU partners with national and regional employers to build affordable academic and training pathways that provide your organization with a pipeline of qualified talent. Our rapid and blended online/in-person certificate programs provide candidates with in-demand skills tailored specifically to your organization's needs. Customized Job Training
We work closely with employers to design training experiences that prepare learners to fill your vacant, in-demand jobs in 3-6 months. Our training allows learners to build their skills and network while also earning credit toward a college degree. We incorporate employer training materials into our pathways and seek ongoing feedback from employers to ensure the learning is relevant and timely.
Comprehensive Skill Development
Learners are trained in both the technical knowledge and skills -- like written and verbal communication, collaboration, giving and receiving feedback, and teamwork -- that are all essential for success in the workplace. More than 40% of the learning experience will be focused on honing these durable skills.
A Seamless Transition
After the initial training experience, learners will work on-site at your organization to gain on-the-ground work experience and build relationships with your team before they complete the program. Should you choose to hire a candidate, we'll work closely with you to ensure they make a smooth transition and are ready to contribute on Day 1.

NLU is looking for employer partners in the Chicagoland area to collaborate in training, supporting, and transitioning learners into full-time jobs. We launched a Medical Assistant Certification Pathway in Summer 2021 and will expand into other fields and credentials -- likely in technology, finance, or business -- starting in 2022.
