Accelerate U offers online certificate training pathways that prepare you for a job in an in-demand field in three to six months. You'll gain essential skills and knowledge for job success and earn a credential and up to 30 college credits you can put towards a degree. Most importantly, you’ll have an opportunity to land a full-time job with benefits immediately upon program completion. Here's how it works:
Learn job-specific knowledge and skills through online classes designed to fit around your busy schedule. You'll participate in live online sessions taught by expert instructors with years of experience in the field. You’ll have a dedicated coach focused entirely on your job and career success. And, you’ll join (and learn with and from) a cohort of peers. Program length ranges from three to eight months.
After you have completed your online training, you’ll take (and pass!) an industry-recognized certification exam. Then, you’ll spend four to eight weeks working in the field at one of our employer partners. During your externship, you’ll gain hands-on experience, get additional practice, and learn from expert practitioners. You’ll get to “test drive” the job and set yourself up for a full-time role!
As you complete the program, you'll receive primary consideration for vacant positions at our employer partner organizations. Your coach will be there each step of the way, providing personal, one-on-one career coaching to get your ready for and help you launch your career.
You’ll earn up to 30 college credits for each Accelerate U experience. You can "stack" each of those experiences toward an associate or bachelor's degree as it makes sense for you in your career. The Accelerate U program is designed so that you can customize your college experience, picking the particular certificate, program, or degree that helps you achieve your goals.
We're looking for learners to enroll in our Medical Assistant training program, which will prepare you to work as a Medical Assistant in a local healthcare facility in less than six months. The program consists of 22-24 weeks of training followed by a 4-6 week (160-hour) externship in a local hospital or health clinic. New training classes begin each July, September, and January.
