Tracy Costello, Assistant Director- Credit for Prior Learning, received the Morris T. Keeton Award by The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning.

Congratulations to Tracy Costello, Assistant Director of Credit for Prior Learning at National Louis University, for being awarded the Morris T. Keeton Award by The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL)!

This award is presented to a leader who is committed to making experiential learning an integral part of education, to increasing access for adult learners and minorities to postsecondary education, and to improving the theory and practice of assessment, teaching and learning through Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) programs. Tracy accepted this honor at the 2022 CAEL Annual Conference held at Chicago’s Palmer House on November 16-18, 2022.

Tracy has been with the university for over 21 years. In addition to her role with NLU’s Credit for Prior Learning office, she is also an adjunct faculty member, having taught in the Applied Behavioral Science and currently teaching the institution’s portfolio course: Perspectives on Prior Learning. Tracy’s efforts in NLU’s Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) office has provided many students who have acquired college-level equivalent knowledge through work, military, and life experiences opportunities to gain college credit for their personal and professional experiences.
