Angelina’s academic journey began with a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, followed by an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from ISPP Chicago. Currently pursuing her Psy.D., she is deeply involved in a clinical research project focused on Dementia risk reduction.

Angelina’s advanced practicum takes her to the University of Chicago’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience, specializing in Neuropsychology. Beyond academics, she serves as a Student Committee Member for the Awards Committee of Division 40 - the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology.

Committed to making a difference, Angelina is an ambassador and volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Concussion Legacy Foundation, actively contributing to causes close to her heart.

Angelina’s recent achievements include a two-year term on the Awards Committee for the Society for Clinical Neuropsychology and selection for the two-year Student Leadership Program for the same society. Her poster presentation at the International Neuropsychological Society’s Annual Conference (INS 2020) in Denver, Colorado, further highlights her dedication to advancing the field.

From her diagnostic practicum at NeuroCare and Family Services to her therapy practicum at Central DuPage Pastoral Counseling Center, Angelina’s training has been diverse. Currently, she is immersed in the adult neuropsychology lab at the University of Chicago Medicine for her advanced practicum.

Angelina recognizes the importance of self-care in her demanding field. Balancing a busy schedule and learning to say no to every opportunity has been challenging but crucial for her personal and professional well-being.

In five years, Angelina envisions herself in a private practice close to home, achieving a realistic work-life balance. She aims to pursue board certification while actively engaging in leadership positions within her professional affiliations.
