Meanwhile, Kendall alum, Chef Jessica Ashley, founder of Boxed Expressions, mentioned how the College set her up for success with her business. “I had an amazing Culinary & Baking/Pastry experience,” she said when posting about her custom cake business. “I really enjoyed tying my client’s innovative and sometimes wacky ideas onto my blank canvas - 'the cake'.” Chef Jessica was featured in Black Enterprise for her new business.

Three Kendall College graduates got together on June 14th to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Honey Butter Fried Chicken, an Avondale staple. The event was called the Roscoe Rewind. Co-owners Josh Kulp and Christine Cikowski, both ’05 grads, hosted this event, with a special guest appearance by Doug Sohn, ’95. Read more on Chicago Eater.
