Faculty Promotion and Development

National Louis University values its faculty and their interrelated roles as outlined in the faculty domains: Teaching Excellence, Service, and Thought Leadership. The faculty and the University collectively benefit from the individual faculty member’s achievement and development within each of these domains.

The performance evaluation process is a means for Faculty, their Program Chair, and their Dean to align expectations related to a faculty member's work and personal growth. Doing so regularly ensures that Faculty are aligned with the programmatic, college-wide, and University-wide goals. Further, regular performance evaluations, especially early in a Faculty member's time at the University helps prepare faculty for successful promotion to a higher rank.

If you'd like the CTLE to join one of your meetings to facilitate a training or conversation around any of these policies, please invite us!
