Biography:
Dr. Crystal Doc” Murdock is an Assistant Professor at National Louis University in the College of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. Doc’s pedagogical practices contribute to increased social justice understanding and a collaborative learning environment. Doc has taught full time at Bradley University and as an Adjunct faculty member at Adler University. Doc holds a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adler University and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. Doc’s counseling experiences have included urban schools, private practice, and community behavioral health centers. Doc is also the owner of a private practice that focuses on providing services to members of the LGBT community and other marginalized voices.

Professional Practice
Doc is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and the owner of a private practice that focuses on providing services to members of the LGBT community and other marginalized voices. Doc’s clinical work is grounded in Black Feminist theory. Doc’s style is holistic and informed by an Integrative Approach to therapy. Applying Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Person-Centered theories. Doc provides both individual and Couples counseling.
