Understanding our Role in Disrupting the Harm on Women of Color in STEM and Education: Personal and Professional Reflections

Current PK-12 and higher education STEM teaching and learning practices perpetuate inequitable outcomes for women and women of color. Understanding which teaching methods are rooted in historically exclusionary practice allows us to disrupt the narrative.

In this panel discussion, women in STEM education fields address their learning experiences and work to ensure more equitable outcomes in STEM education. During this webinar, we explore:

  • How learning experiences in STEM impact persistence in the field
  • How to re-imagine teaching practices in STEM education
  • How teachers can empower and support their students to be successful in STEM fields
