Student Spotlight

Hedi Belkaoui, (Ed.D., '20), Director of School Improvement and Accreditation, Archdiocese of Chicago

"National Louis University provides a well-rounded program in Educational Leadership that combines both an excellent grounding in best research practices with the insightful, on-the-ground, "no nonsense" experiences from "in-the-field" administrators. Classes are lively centers of thoughtful, deep discussion--on theoretical, ephemeral concepts in leadership and organizational management and practical conversations about what aspiring education leaders should consider as they strive to provide the students they serve with outstanding academic experiences. In addition to the authentic and rigorous approach to the key learnings of leadership, NLU also offers flexible courses with blended virtual delivery to accommodate the needs of working professionals."

Educational Leadership program chair Professor Harrington Gibson and adjunct faculty member Cheryl Watkins lead a panel of Educational Leadership alumni in a discussion about how to address racial injustice in classrooms through anti-racist practices.
