The Scholarship
While the cost of our education at NLU is already affordable and accessible, we believe the Community Heroes Scholarship, valued at 15% of total tuition,* will allow our community heroes to further their educational, career, and personal goals. This scholarship applies to both undergraduate and graduate degree programs at NLU. Spouses and dependent children of those qualified individuals listed above are also eligible for the scholarship.
*Scholarship amounts for active duty military vary based on program. See more information below.
Active Duty Military
The Community Heroes Scholarship will reduce the tuition of active duty military (anyone who is currently working for the military full time) to meet the reimbursable rate provided by the U.S. Military: $167/quarter for undergraduate; $250/semester hour for graduate programs.
Additionally, active duty military and veteran students will have their own dedicated team of Enrollment Specialists to guide them through the application process and answer questions specifically related to military students.
Veterans
Veterans (anyone who has served and is no longer serving in the military and has been honorably discharged) are eligible for the 15% Community Heroes Scholarship. In addition, the remaining tuition balance could be covered by the Montgomery G.I. Bill, enabling our veterans to more easily cover the cost of their program.
