Course Wrap-Up

When wrapping-up your course for the term, there are a few administrative tasks to complete. In addition to entering grades into D2L, grades must be entered into Banner within 10 calendar days from the last day of the class. Also, the end of the course is a good time to reflect on pedagogy and student experience. Please see the resources below for more information.

Finalizing Grades

Please visit our finalizing grades page to learn more about timelines and processes to submit final grades.

Course Evaluations

Collecting anonymous feedback from students is an excellent way to grow as an instructor. NLU facilitates this feedback process via the IDEA survey. Please visit our Course Evaluations page to learn more about IDEA surveys.

Reflecting on the Term

Take a moment to reflect on your teaching practices this term. Did you attend a professional development session that asked you to consider a new classroom strategy? Explain your experience with that strategy. Did you decolonize the syllabus for a class this term? Reflect on any new insights this brought you or your students.

Submitting Course Improvements

We mentioned it a bit earlier in this Playbook, but if you run across a broken link that you had to replace and/or if you notice other content that needs to be updated in the course template, please submit a Course Maintenance Request. Once reviewed and approved by the faculty, those changes will be made in the following term.
