Course Development Timeline
To uphold the highest standards in online and blended courses, adherence to established development timelines is essential. These timelines enable the Learning Experience Design (LxD) team to plan, develop, and review courses effectively. Four development cycles are observed: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer, each strategically timed to optimize the development process.

- Development Term and Period: The LxD team collaborates with faculty and department heads during this period to design and construct course templates. For example, the Winter 2024 development starts on Jan. 2 and concludes by Mar. 15, 2024.
- Notifications to Stakeholders: The designated date when the LxD team informs college leaders to finalize courses and provide approved curriculum documents.
- Submission Deadline: The final date for colleges to have all required documents approved and course details verified.
- Course Start and Open Dates: The official start date and the date when the course becomes accessible to students, respectively.
Adherence to Deadlines
Timely adherence to these deadlines ensures adequate lead time for meticulous planning, development, and quality assurance. The LxD team will work closely with faculty and department heads for any special considerations, provided they are communicated in a timely manner.
Exceptions
In instances where deviations from the timeline are unavoidable, the LxD team will evaluate the situation individually to determine appropriate actions. The overarching goal is to uphold the instructional design quality and standards set by National Louis University.
