That's why our Learning Experience Design team is dedicated to creating new courses and curricula that are engaging, effective, and aligned with the needs of both faculty and students. Course Design and Revision
The Learning Experience Design (LXD) team at NLU assists faculty in creating effective, engaging curricula tailored to student needs. If you wish to initiate a new course design project, consult your program chair or dean for scheduling. Please speak with your program's chair or dean if you want to schedule a new course design project.
Course Maintenance and Improvement
The LXD team provides both maintenance and improvement services for your existing courses. For minor updates like link corrections, maintenance projects typically take 1-3 business days. For larger improvements requiring departmental approval, the timeline varies. To discuss your project's specifics, submit a request and an LXD designer will reach out within two business days. For urgent issues in live courses, contact the NLU helpdesk for immediate assistance.

Course Design Consultations
Beyond new course creation, the LXD team offers personalized support for faculty in all stages of course development. You can request ad hoc consultations for expert insights on instructional techniques, technologies, and evaluation methods. To schedule a consultation, click here.
Course Copies
Our team facilitates the start of term setup by loading content from our template courses into upcoming sections. Program directors work with our team each term to identify the correct content to load into the upcoming term courses. Our team then imports the most appropriate content into upcoming courses.
Technology Integration
If you’re interested in technology integration to augment your course, the LXD team is available for collaboration. We assess your program's unique needs and recommend appropriate technology solutions to enrich the learning experience.
Template Course Access
Our team facilitates access to our template courses. If you would like to request access to view one of our template courses, please send us an email at at learning@nl.edu. Please include your ID number, your role at the University, and a list of the courses or courses that you would like access to view.
Library eReserves
The NLU Library eReserves system centralizes digital course materials, ensuring convenient access for students while managing copyright and licensing requirements. For support, contact the NLU library faculty at library@nl.edu or LXD at learning@nl.edu.
