SME Compensation and Copyright

SME Compensation For Course Development

Projects are compensated according to the project type, modalities, and course credit hours or quarter hours. For New Development, Redevelopment, and Revision projects, payment is processed in two installments each at 50% of the total stipend: once after the Course Map is reviewed and approved by the Program Director/Chair (PD/C), and second, after the PD/C provides final sign-off of the completed course template. For Improvement projects, payment is processed in one installment after the PD/C provides final sign-off on the project. You will receive payment by the last business day of the month if the request is submitted by the 10th of that month, or by the last business day of the following month if submitted after the 10th.

The NLU Contracts Office will issue your contract(s) and request acknowledgment of your contract(s) per the normal adjunct/teaching-overload contract process.
