P.A.C.E. Ahead

P.A.C.E. Ahead is an apartment-style living experience designed to meet the transitional needs of P.A.C.E. at NLU graduates. Located within the P.A.C.E. residence hall, students can continue to increase their independence even though they might not be ready to move into an apartment or return home.  Students practice apartment living with the safety net provided by continued support in personal and social development, employment, and independent living life skills.

Admission Criteria

• Eligibility based on completion of NLU’s P.A.C.E. certificate program
• Submissions of application and student personal statement
• Assessment of applicant conducted by P.A.C.E. staff
• Students are eligible to renew service up to 28 years of age if in good standing
• $1000 Tuition deposit due upon acceptance

 Services- 4 hours of instruction that can be used in our four support areas:

• Independent Living Skills- weekly individual or group instruction
• Employment- students work four days per week while receiving weekly job development support such as job coaching, job search and employment workshops
• Social Development- students participate in weekly clubs, social planning class and Saturday activities
• Personal Development - students can take advantage of health and wellness activities and access to facilitates
