Please note the following processing times when participating in CPL. Generally speaking, you should be prepared to see credit and/or charges show on your transcript and student account, as applicable, within 30 calendar days. More details are below by CPL type.
- Credit by Portfolio
- For CPL400/500 and ACL301 Essays, please allow up to 10 calendar days from the last day of class for faculty to finish evaluating your portfolio/essays. Once that is complete, you should be able to see your grade in D2L. Successful* grades are entered within the following 20 calendar days. Total processing time is up to 30 calendar days from the last day of the course. Note that successful ACL301 Essays for students taking the course prior to Spring 2023 that are received by the 15th of the month will be processed (both for credit on your transcript and billed to your student account) by the 20th calendar day in the following month.
- Credit by Credential
- All successful applications received by the 25th of the month will be processed (both for credit on your transcript and billed to your student account) by the 20th calendar day in the following month.
- Credit by Examination
- Each testing organization has their own processing times to send official transcripts to NLU, but generally speaking, you can expect up to 30 days for processing exams with no open-ended prompts. Exams with open-ended prompts on them take up to 6 weeks for the testing officials to grade and then release your transcript.
