Pam Jessee has spent 48 years in education including 30 years in P-12 education and 17 years in higher education as a faculty member in the Special Education Department and from 2012 to 2018 as Dean of the College of Education at Lewis University. Pam is a trained site visitor for CAEP and served on the Council for Chicago Area Deans for 8 years including three of those as co-chair and treasurer.  Currently, Pam serves NLU as the Program Chair for Special Education and the CAEP Director for National Louis University.  Pam also serves on the LaSalle Manor Retreat Center Board that provides spiritual retreat experiences for high schoolers, most who attend Catholic High Schools.  Pam has three adult children and two Beagles, Chloe and Callie.

Pam serves on the Executive Board for the Illinois Association of Teacher Educators (IATE).  She annually presents at the Fall conference with an update on accreditation issues.  Current interests include the intersection of disability with other identities and ensuring that special educators demonstrate culturally sustaining practice.  She is currently providing a year-long professional development experience in the area of differentiated classroom assessment for Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox.
