George Tang specializes in teaching Principles of Business, Pre-Algebra, Beginning Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Mathematics, Math Content for Teachers, College Algebra, Introduction to Economics, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Global Economics, Economics for Managers, and Managerial Economics

He also provides academic insights that empower students to realize their maximum educational potential. He encourages students to develop their critical thinking skills, incorporating a problem-solving attitude. 

He utilizes a variety of teaching, advising, and motivational strategies to help math-challenged students overcome a fear of mathematics and become successful.

Biography:

George has been teaching as an adjunct professor at National Louis University (NLU) since 2013. Prior to working at NLU, he had served as an adjunct professor in business, economics, and mathematics since 2003 at various institutions in Chicago, such as East-West University and City Colleges of Chicago.

In addition to teaching experience, he has worked as an academic advisor for four and half years at the community college level. He has a solid understanding of how offices run in relation to admissions, advising, registration, and international students, as well as other offices on campus.

Most importantly, he has had the opportunity to interact with students not only in the classroom but also in the office. He knows how to interact with diverse students from various backgrounds.

In 2015, he was selected by the student body of NLU in the College of Professional Studies and Advancement to receive the distinguished teaching award. It is his great pleasure and honor to serve the community of NLU.
