Biography:
Dr. Anna Marie Yates is currently Assistant Professor at National Louis University in the Program of Counseling and Human Services. She has had over 20 years of experience as a High School Counselor in Illinois in District 214 (Northwest Suburban). She was the first Counselor on the faculty of Harper College in Palatine, IL and she has taught at Roosevelt University and Northern Illinois University. Dr. Yates has twice been named High School Counselor of the Year in Illinois and has been awarded the distinction of Illinois State University's College of Education Hall of Fame. Dr. Yates is Past President of ICDA (Illinois Career Development Association), IAACE (Illinois Association for Assessment in Counseling and Education), and IAADA(Illinois Association for Adult Development and Aging). Dr. Yates served as Treasurer of IASGW (Illinois Association for Specialists in Group Work), and she is the current past President of the Northwest Suburban Chapter of ICA (Illinois Counseling Association). She is a Rainbows (Groups for Grief and Loss) certified Facilitator and Coordinator and is serving as a Rainbows Coordinator.
