New hires must register themselves at www.NLUBenefits.com and elect or waive coverage within 30 days of their date of hire.
Please take the time to review the Overview of NLU Benefits video and bring any benefits questions you may have to a Benefits Enrollment Q&A session. Sessions are held via Microsoft Teams the third Thursday of every month. Look for an invite soon from your NLU New Hire Cohort!
Benefits are effective first of the month following your date of hire. If you were hired on the first of the month, your benefits are effective that day.
You only have 30 days from your date of hire to submit your enrollment elections. If you miss the opportunity to enroll in benefits during your first 30 days of employment, your next opportunity will be during Open Enrollment in November, unless you experience an IRS qualifying event.
