Student Support Services
Career Bridge: Connecting great people to great opportunities is what we love to do. Whether you are just beginning to think about your career plans or already have a plan in place, we are here to partner with you to see you reach your goals!
Disability and Access Services Office: National Louis University is committed to building an inclusive university community that welcomes, values, respects and accommodates students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Student Orientation: At orientation, you will learn about the university's history, mission, policies and procedures, and the resources available to support your success. We also sprinkle in some fun activities, giveaways and raffle off a variety of prizes!
Veterans and Military Program: The Veterans Resource Center utilizes a holistic approach to serving student veterans and military-connected students. Our ‘wrap-around’ services help students find resources and support from NLU and community partners.
Academic Resources
Education Students: As a teacher candidate at NLU, you will partake in an innovative learning experience unlike most teacher preparation programs out there. Learn more about important information for our Education majors.
Learning Support: Office of Learning Support offers proactive academic assistance for students by providing in-person/online tutoring in writing and math, cooperating with faculty to support student learning, and advocating for equitable educational access.
Library: The University Library provides access to high quality resources and enriches the critical and intellectual inquiry of students, educators, and researchers through engaged teaching and scholarship.
Online Learning/Remote Resources: Find a system of resources that university stakeholders may need to be successful during times when the university needs to close for an unexpected reason.
Prior Learning Assessment: At National Louis University, your personal and professional experience and knowledge may be worth college credit. NLU's Prior Learning Assessment office provides several programs for students to demonstrate their college-level learning.
Study Tables: Create your culture of success! Study on your own or with friends, meet with instructors, and work with Learning Specialists. Peer tutoring and independent/group study rooms also available.
Transfer Students: NLU is committed to providing a seamless transition for transfer students and you can find an array of resources, tips and events on the transfer portal.
Wellness Resources
Counseling & Wellness: Being well means taking care of your whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Check out the services and resources NLU offers to help students get healthy and stay well.
THRIVE Campus & Communinity Resources: Our THRIVE resource website curates and leverages community resources in key domains such as food and housing insecurities, financial wellness, employment, childcare/support for student parents.
