Month of Service
Throughout the month of May staff, faculty and alumni are invited to contribute four hours during the work week to serve in various ways throughout their communities.
The entire NLU community comes together in May and supports our communities through service. You are invited to serve through one of the organized opporutnities below, or select your own service project.

Volunteer Hours
- 667 Hours between NLU students, faculty, staff, family and friends!

Materials
- Prepared materials for and packed over 500 individual youth kits and 3,350 family kits for the Chicago Public Library
- Deconstructed over 50 binders to be recycled and reused for future art projects
- Completed trash cleanup at Waukegan & Chicago beaches
- Donated six bags/boxes worth of gently used "must have" items to benefit teachers and nonprofits throughout the city
- 35 people donated 500 individual items to USO families and soldiers
- 158 notes to pen pals at Meals on Wheels
