Nur Karatas
Assistant Professor, English
Dr. Nur Karatas is an Assistant Professor of English in the Undergraduate College at National Louis University. She holds a master’s degree from John Carroll University, Ohio. She received her Ph.D. in English Language and Literature from King’s College London, where she also started her teaching career in the U.K. After moving to Chicago, she taught composition and literature courses at various City Colleges of Chicago before NLU. Her research interests are modernism, World War I, medical humanities, and trauma studies. She loves swimming and hiking. Anywhere by the water is a great spot for her to enjoy a good book with some coffee.
