Research and Interests:

Over the past Twenty-Two years, my research and specialization have focused on the personal development of adults both in their private lives, as well as in the workplace.  I strive to assist working adults in understanding the complexities of professional achievement, and assist them in developing comprehensive plans for success in their continued education, as well as their professional career fields.

It has long been my professional academic belief and position that the Bachelor’s Degree is the most difficult and significant achievement in Higher Education. Not only does it take the longest time to complete, but encompasses a multitude of compulsory credits in subjects for which one may not be primarily motivated to study, thrive, and master. In a time when many adults are focusing on the pursuit of advanced degrees, it is easy for the academic world to overlook the coveted prize that is associated with the attainment of the Bachelor’s Degree.

It has become a major part of my educational and teaching philosophy that every adult has the ability to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree. S/he may need some extra assistance along the way, some personal attention, encouragement, or even extra prodding to complete tedious course assignments, but therein lies the responsibility of the adult educator; to ensure that each of our students achieves the pinnacle of academic success.
