Cindy is the Director of Counseling and Wellness, the university's Confidential Advisor, and the university's Chief Crisis Counselor. She oversees the Counseling Services team and works to ensure students have access to quality services and resources that will help them succeed at National Louis University. Cindy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She received her Bachelor of English and Women Study from Northern Illinois University and a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from National Louis University. Cindy Danzell joined NLU in 2018 as the Suicide Prevention Director and became the Director of Counseling and Wellness in 2020. She also works as a Counselor at a private practice and is a Racial Healing Practioner. Some of Cindy's professional interests include complex trauma, suicide prevention, immigration/acculturation, PTSD, mindfulness, stress/anxiety management, depression, and grief.
Outside of Counseling, Cindy loves baking, exploring her creativity, Instagram, reading, and listening to music.

Taylor is the Counseling and Wellness Center's Licensed Professional Counselor. She has a passion for social justice, mental health, and self-care and brings it into the therapy room to empower and encourage students. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and African American Studies from the University of Alabama and her Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, relationship problems, chronic illness/pain, and low self-esteem. She uses a person-centered, multicultural, and integrative approach to counseling based on psychodynamic theory. Utilizing different interventions, she finds it very important to provide clients with tools and strategies to help process and manage their mental health. Taylor’s goal is to meet her clients where they are at and to provide a safe space for healing.
Taylor is originally from Los Angeles but has lived in many regions in the United States. One of her many hobbies and interests include spending time with friends, family, and her cat named Blanche. She loves to dance, go to concerts, bake, go to the lake, try new restaurants, and travel.

Sebastian Rivera is a counseling and wellness front desk student worker, who started in 2023. He is currently trying to gain more experience for his human services degree at National Louis. He is prepared to make a good and welcoming environment for the center, as well as provide support for those who come in.
In his free time, he enjoys staying at home, spending time with his cat, and spending time with close friends.

Isabelle is the Counseling & Wellness Graduate Assistant, joined in 2023. She is currently a graduate student working towards her PsyD in the National Louis Clinical Psychology Doctoral program. She is excited to provide assistance to the office and more. In her free time, she enjoys going to concerts, exploring Chicago, doing yoga, sewing clothes, and spending time with her family and friends."
