Lynda Williams brings over three decades of educational experience in teaching and administration. Her career has included classroom teacher, assistant principal, and principal at the elementary school level. She also served as Chief Area Officer and Network Chief in Chicago Public Schools. As the Executive Director of Instructional Supports at Central Office, she oversaw the Summer Bridge., High School Credit Recovery, Virtual Learning, and Age Cycle 15 departments.

Dr. Williams joined NLU as an Educational Leadership Coach and Adjunct Professor in the doctoral programs. She is a mentor and coach to school administrators of elementary and high schools within CPS and suburban districts. Dr. Williams also coaches Resident Principals through the Chicago Leadership Collaborative (CLC) in preparation for the Principal Eligibility Process and securing administrative positions.

Dr. Williams facilitates workshops for leadership development and state-required administrator academies for teacher and principal evaluators. She believes in the power of individualized leadership development, and it is her mission to support all in achieving success. 

Dr. Williams recently collaborated with Dr. Harrington Gibson and the Fry Foundation for the Principal Coaching Program for CPS Networks serving novice and veteran school leaders. She provided input/feedback in the design and execution of the grant program.  Dr. Williams is also actively involved with the Illinois Principals Association on multiple levels in the IL-Empower Partnership grant for coaching/mentoring principals.

Dr. Williams is a founding committee member of WELL (Women in Education Leading and Learning) and plans the annual summits.

Dr. Williams is a member of Phi Delta Kappa, ASCD, and Learning Forward.
