Biography:
William H. Wilson is a Certified Forensic Scientist, is the former director of the Cook County Sheriff's Police Forensic Laboratory in Maywood, Illinois, and is currently working at the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Chicago. He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and a Masters of Forensic Science degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Mr. Wilson has attended training at the FBI, DEA, McCrone Research Institute, the National Institute of Justice, and the Midwest Forensic Research Center, among others, and has lectured or instructed in nine states and Saudi Arabia.
During his 30+ year professional career, Mr. Wilson has been involved in the investigation of many homicides and other high-profile cases in Illinois, Ohio, and other states, both as a laboratory scientist and as a crime scene investigator. He has testified in both state and federal courts, and has appeared as a witness in the fields of Firearms Identification, Trace Evidence Analysis, Forensic Serology/ Biology, Crime Scene Investigation, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Controlled Substance Identification, and Forensic Toxicology.
