Alternative Credit Project (ACP)

NLU was a founding institution of the ACE consortium alternative credit project

Exemplifying its commitment to access and achievement in higher education, NLU was one of 25 institutions participating in the ACE consortium alternative credit project supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundations.

The focus of the project was to create flexible pathways to degree attainment for nontraditional learners.  Emphasis was on the adult learner, including first-generation and low-income students, with previous earned credit without an earned degree. NLU has agreed to accept ACE credit and provide data on student progress and success rates to assist in the creation of guidelines to increase degree completion.

While the ACE consortium alternative credit project ended in May 2018, NLU is proud to continue accepting ACE credit through vetted providers. Learn more about the courses, credits, and providers NLU accepts via ACE.
