By fostering an inclusive, supportive and engaged campus community dedicated to student success, Student Affairs is committed to ensuring students’ personal growth, well-being and engagement through service excellence.
At NLU, we believe in investing in the “whole learner.” As such, NLU students receive more than quality instruction, we offer relavent on-campus programs and provide access to community based resources that address barriers to success in higher education, enhance community engagement, empower citizenship, and promote leadership development.
Departments and Programs:
Centro de Excelencia
We serve as the hub for programs and initiatives that advance our work as a community and career focused Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI).
Civic Engagement
We provide opportunities to become involved with service initiatives that enrich and expand our participation in community engagement.
Disability Services
We help ensure that all academic programs, and all aspects of the student experience, are accessible.
Diversity
We recognize the intersectionality of our students and create inviting spaces to learn from each other and advocate for a welcoming and supportive campus community.
Food Pantry
We support students impacted by food insecurity and curate community resources in key areas such as food and housing insecurities, financial wellness, employment, and support for parenting students.
International Services
We support international students and facilitate a successful transition to the United States and assist students considering study abroad opportunities.
Orientation
Whether you are a first-year student, transfer, or graduate student, our orientation programs are designed to connect you with services, resources and engagement opportunities that will assist you in your transition to NLU.
PACE
We are a three-year, post-secondary certificate program designed to meet the transitional needs for young adults with multiple intellectual, learning and developmental disabilities.
Student Life
We strive to build a strong sense of community and are committed to engaging students through student organizations, volunteer opportunities, wellness programs, leadership workshops, honor societies, and diversity programs. Housing and Residence Life
National Louis University provides campus housing just steps from the Michigan Avenue campus. Our housing community is beautifully furnished, loaded with exciting amenities, and located downtown near Chicago's South Loop neighborhood.
Veterans Center
We utilize a holistic approach to serving student veterans and military-connected students. Our ‘wrap-around’ services help students find resources and support from NLU and community partners.
