Biography:
I've been at National Louis University for more than 25 years. For part of that time I moved from teaching to administration and have served in various senior academic positions such as the dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, deputy provost, vice president of strategic initiatives, and provost and vice president of academic affairs. In 2009 I was selected as the interim president of NLU. Prior to my long service at NLU I was a teacher and curriculum specialist in the Chicago Public Schools for more than 15 years, and served as the director of computer based learning for Encyclopaedia Britannica Educational Corporation. For a few years I was the CEO of a small educational software publishing company. I like to say I've seen all sides of the educational enterprise; from a student's perspective, a teacher's, a publisher's, and college instructor in a teacher preparation program.
