Dr. Kathy Pluymert is the Director of NCE's advanced professional programs, which provide educators with advanced credentials and graduate-level expertise across a broad range of in-demand specializations and high-needs areas.
Kathy has over 35 years of experience as an educator, having worked as a district-level administrator, program coordinator, special education teacher, school psychologist, university faculty, and consultant.
In addition to teaching, school psychologist, supervisor and principal credentials, Kathy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Kathy’s primary research and publication focus has been in the areas of implementing and evaluating innovative educational programming including Multi-Tier Systems of Support, Positive Behavioral Supports, and School-Based Mental Health.
