Todd Alan Price, Ph.D. joined the faculty at National Louis University as an Assistant Professor in the National College of Education and the then Educational Foundations and Research program in September of 2001. Over the years he has served in numerous curriculum, assessment, and educational technology committees, and is a regular contributor to service learning and community engagement work. He was an early co-chair to the National College of Education and elected Senator as well as chair of the Faculty Welfare and Compensation Committee and the Tenure and Promotion Committee.

Dr. Price lectured and presented scholarly work in Hamburg (2019); Rio de Janeiro (2019; 2012); Toronto (2019); Bodrum (2019); Kars (2018); Antalya (2018); Cyprus (2016); Adana, Turkey (2015-16); Ottawa, Canada (2015); Braga, Portugal (2013); Hangzhou (2014), Beijing (2006, 2010), Shanghai (2005, 2006), Chifeng (2010), and Qingdao, China (2010); Hanoi, Vietnam (2010); Oxford, Great Britain (2006, 2010); Tutzing, Germany (2003); and Miramar/Havana, Cuba (2003). He has received certificates from the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU) and Hanoi Open University (HOU) 24th Annual AAOU Conference in 2010 and was published in the conference proceedings in AAOU, Iran; from the Oxford Round Table for a paper presentation, "Secular humanism vs. religion? The liberal democratic education tradition and the battle over vouchers in the USA", published in the Forum on Public Policy, 2007. In 1994 he completed an independent study Entrenamiento: Historia critica de la educación Cubana and received a diploma from the Instituto Pedagógica Latinoamericano y del Caribe.

In 2015-16 he was elected to serve on the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education Committee on Government Relations and Advocacy. Having completed a three-year term, he was granted Certificate of Distinguished Service, 2018.

In 2018-19 he was elected President of the American Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies.

He was a keynote speaker in 2018 at the University of Kars, Turkey, and is an invited keynote speaker for the 10th International Congress on Curriculum and Instruction (ICCI-EPOK 2022) to be held on 26-28 October 2022 by Gazi Faculty of Education, Gazi University, Ankara, with the main theme of “Curriculum Studies in Teacher Education”, in cooperation with the Turkish Association of Curriculum and Instruction (TACI). 

Previously, he was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation in October 2015, for the keynote address Teachers Teaching under the Lens, Çukurova University in Adana, Turkey. 

In 2020-21 he received an Award in Recognition of Excellence in Research, Scholarship, and Inquiry, presented by the Faculty Association of National Louis University.

In 2021 Dr. Price was elected to the Kenosha Unified School District Board of Directors, and in 2022 was elected to serve in the position of KUSD Clerk.

Dr. Price’s current research interests include studying Continental Philosophy roots to contemporary issues in education, the politics of local school boards, and teaching and learning in adult education in the digital age. He has written several articles, chapters, and books concerning curriculum, educational policy, and social justice in the USA and abroad and served most recently as a keynote speaker in China, Turkey, Germany, and Brazil.
