Biography:
With over 16 years of professional experience within the Educational field, it has been an honor and privilege to work closely with adult learners, facilitating thought-provoking discussions, and enhancing students’ educational experiences for both on-line and on-site classes. I have been teaching at NLU for over 12 years in the Business Communication field. In all my courses, an important lesson learned is respecting your fellow classmate’s point of view and thinking outside the box. I also encourage my students to approach learning with a positive outlook and remind them that learning can be fun.
Prior to teaching, I worked in the media industry for two Chicago television stations, WTTW Channel 11 (PBS) and WLS-ABC 7 Chicago, where I served as an Assistant Producer for various educational and news-related programs. Additionally, I served as a Reporter for multiple PBS and cultural television stations in Chicago.
During my free time, I enjoy traveling, horse-back riding and volunteer work.
