Biography
Dr. Angela Brinton is a core faculty member within the counseling department at National Louis University’s Florida Counseling Department. She earned her doctoral degree from NLU in Counselor Education and Supervision. Dr. Brinton has been in the counseling profession for over 10 years. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and qualified
supervisor in Florida. She is also a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Certified Trainer. She maintains a private practice working closely with the school systems and provides professional development and training to counseling students and young professionals. She has developed and taught courses on grief, trauma, and mindfulness. Her current
specialization is in mindfulness-based clinical interventions, grief, and trauma informed
counseling.
